Smartwatch inertial sensors continuously monitor real-world motor fluctuations in Parkinson's disease
This study demonstrated that smartwatch inertial sensors can continuously and accurately monitor Parkinson's disease motor symptoms, including tremor and dyskinesia, in real-world settings over extended periods. The findings highlight the use of wearable technology to improve symptom tracking, support personalized treatment decisions, and enhance communication between patients and clinicians.
