For Kneu co-founder Caroline Cake, the mission is deeply personal. An engineer with national leadership experience in health data science and a track record of building innovative businesses, she was moved to act after watching her mother and grandmother navigate dementia care, and seeing how little scientific progress had reached everyday support over three decades. She recognised a clear opportunity to bridge the gap between deep scientific knowledge and real-world impact.
Fellow co-founder Dr. Kinan Muhammed a neurologist, neuroscientist and clinical entrepreneur shared this view from the research and clinical front line, directly seeing powerful insights in neuroscience and clinical research with the potential to improve lives, if translated into real-world practical solutions. Joined by Professors Michele Hu and Masud Husain, the team came together around a shared belief: that rigorous science, thoughtfully applied, can help rethink some of the most complex conditions we face
