Who these Terms apply to
These Terms of Use apply to all users of the Kneu Health mobile app and clinical platform, including:
- Patients - individuals who have been prescribed the Kneu Health app by a registered clinician.
- Caregivers (Companions) - individuals who support a patient and have been invited to access the caregiver functionality.
- Clinicians - healthcare professionals who access the Kneu Platform clinical dashboard to monitor patients.
By downloading or using the Kneu Health app or platform, you confirm that you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
What the Kneu Platform is
The Kneu Platform is a medical device for monitoring symptoms associated with neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease. In the UK it is UKCA self-certified. In the US it has received FDA clearance for specific monitoring functions. It includes:
- The Kneu Health mobile app: used by patients to complete assessments, track symptoms and medication, and share data with their clinical team; and by caregivers to view summaries and record observations.
- An optional paired Apple Watch: for patients using a compatible iPhone, used to passively capture tremor and dyskinesia data via Apple’s Movement Disorder API. No active tasks are required; data is captured during normal wear.
- The Kneu clinical dashboard: used by clinicians to review patient assessment results and monitor condition over time.
The Kneu Platform is a monitoring tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. Clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the treating clinician.
