Kneu Health Celebrates HSJ Awards Win for Digitising Patient Care
Kneu Health is proud to announce that East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) and Health Innovation East (HIE) have won the prestigious Digitising Patient Care Award at the 2024 HSJ Awards. This award recognizes the impactful collaboration that is setting new standards in healthcare excellence.
The awards ceremony, held on November 21 at Evolution London, celebrated the dedication and achievements of healthcare teams across the UK. Supported by headline partner Vodafone Business and hosted by comedian Dara Briain, the event highlighted the innovative efforts driving improvements in patient care and outcomes.
Among over 1,350 entries and 235 shortlisted projects, the Kneu Health-supported initiative stood out for its groundbreaking work in Parkinson's care. Judges praised the project for its strong outcomes, patient engagement, and alignment with NHS goals of sustainability and innovation, calling it a scalable, mature solution that empowers patients and improves clinic efficiency.
A Remarkable Achievement
Sheeba Suresh, Parkinson's Nurse Specialist at ESNEFT, shared the spotlight at the event alongside Jane Coiley, one of the patients using the Kneu Health platform, and representatives from HIE, including Chief Executive Piers Ricketts and Jo Dempsey, who played a key role in the rollout across the East of England.
Reflecting on the win, Alastair McLellan, Editor of the Health Service Journal, remarked: "Year after year, the HSJ Awards showcase the incredible innovation, dedication, and integrity within the NHS. This project exemplifies the transformative impact of digital technology in patient care. Congratulations to the ESNEFT, HIE, and Kneu Health team for such an outstanding achievement!"
The evening saw over 2,000 attendees gather to celebrate innovation and excellence, with Secretary of State for Health Wes Streeting opening the event.
Celebrating Progress and Looking Ahead
For Kneu Health, this moment marks an extraordinary milestone. A year ago, the company had yet to begin its first contract; today, it is recognized as a leader in digital innovation in NHS patient care.
Caroline Cake, Kneu Health's CEO said: "This award represents the culmination of a massive team effort and the unwavering support from our partners and patients. We are deeply honoured to receive this recognition and look forward to continuing to innovate and transform care for people with Parkinson's disease and dementia."
The Digitising Patient Care Award win is not only a celebration of achievement but also an inspiration to keep driving forward. Thank you to everyone who has supported and believed in Kneu Health's vision for accessible, effective, and sustainable care.
